With our guests who take transportation from Antalya, we pick you up from our meeting points starting at 03:30 at night, go to Fethiye and transfer to our ferry. After our journey that takes about 2 hours, we reach Rhodes. We complete our transactions at the port and move on to our vehicle that meets us. During our panoramic city tour on the way to our hotel, we will be greeted by two deer statues, one male (Efalos) and the other female (Efelina), at the port of Mandraki, which means crab claw. The island is the homeland of the Rhodes deer. In the place where these statues are located, there was the Colossus of Rhodes (Kolossos), which is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. According to the rumor; The Colossus of Rhodes, symbolizing the sun god Helios, was built in B.C. to indicate the joy of escaping the siege. It was built by the Dorians in 280. One leg of this statue, which is 32 meters high, was where today's female deer is located, the other leg was where the male deer is located, and these ships coming to the harbor passed between the legs of the statue. B.C. It is said that the statue was destroyed in the earthquake in 226. When we arrive at our hotel, we settle into our rooms and have free time. Afterwards, we pick you up from our hotel at the time we determined and start our Rhodes Old Town tour. In the old city of Rhodes, surrounded by 4 km long walls, all of which are intact, with seven gates in total, the walls with bastions, watchtowers and defense ditches will give us the feeling of traveling back in time. Knights Street is one of the most impressive points of Rhodes Old Town. The narrow and long street has a floor decorated with traditional Rhodes stonemasonry. On both sides of the street, St. The knights of John have inns. These inns today host units of the Greek Ministry of Tourism and some consulates. Located at the Old Town exit of Knights Street, the Palace of the Grand Master is the most magnificent structure in Rhodes. According to researches; At the point where the palace is located today, there were the foundations of the ancient temple of the sun god Helios, and it was probably where the Colossus of Rhodes was located in ancient times. Built by the Byzantines at the end of the 7th century, the castle was conquered by St. Petersburg, who occupied Kalymnos, Meis and Rhodes in 1309. It was transformed by the knights of John into the palace of their grand master. The palace, which was repaired in the 14th century, was also used as a command center and castle during the Ottoman period. The castle, which was the holiday home of fascist dictator Mussolini during the Italian occupation, is now a magnificent museum where many objects belonging to the Knights of St. John are exhibited. After visiting the museum, which has a large collection of Iznik tiles from the Ottoman period, we see the Fethi Pasha clock tower, built by Tophane marshal Ahmed Fethi Pasha in 1852, during the reign of Sultan Abdülmecid. In Orologiou Square, Hafız Ahmet Ağa Library, built in 1793, Ahmet Fethi Pasha. It is a cultural center where manuscripts collected from different parts of the world are located. The library, which continues its work under the protection of Hafız Ahmet Ağa Fethi Paşa Foundation, contains 2500 works, 1200 of which are manuscripts. The most valuable work of the library is the manuscript of the Holy Quran, which Ottoman calligraphers started writing in 1401 and finished in 1454. Then we see the Süleymaniye Mosque, which was built in 1541 in the Old City of Rhodes, after Suleiman the Magnificent conquered Rhodes. The mosque is one of the most important symbols remaining from the Ottoman Empire on the island. The mosque, which went through a detailed restoration in 1808, was last restored in 2005. We see the mosque, which is closed to visitors and worship, from its outer walls and surroundings. Ibrahim Pasha Mosque, the only mosque open for worship in Rhodes, was built in the name of Sultan Suleiman in 1540. Then we move to Hippocrates Square. We give you free time in this very lively square, where there are plenty of places selling souvenirs, restaurants, cafe-bars, and it starts to get crowded especially in the evening hours. After seeing the court building of the knights, built in 1507, in a corner of the square, we go to have our dinner with our guests, taste different flavors from Greek cuisine, and make sirtaki in the tavern with our guests.
